Our first humanities collection by George Walkden (@gwalkden) covers both new and traditional aspects of the study of language change. Browsing through the papers, you can read about e.g. theoretical models for the evolution of the linguistic diversity, the Americanization of English, or crowdsourcing language change with smartphone applications. As a special treat, the editorials of the collection include insights on the state of OA in Linguistics and Humanities in general.
Do you have any relevant papers in mind that may fit well into the collection? Don’t hesitate to contact George! Contributions from the fields of grammaticalization and historical pragmatics or studies investigating languages outside Europe are especially welcome.
Many thanks, George!
