Nanotechnology on ScienceOpen

Many technology and industry sectors, including information technology, transportation, medicine, energy, and environmental science, are significantly improving, if not revolutionizing, thanks to nanotechnology.

Nanotechnology is the understanding and control of matter at the nanoscale, at dimensions between approximately 1 and 100 nanometers, where unique phenomena enable novel applications.

National Nanotechnology Initiative

As a relatively new and highly interdisciplinary science, nanotechnology’s rapid development is assisting researchers in their understanding of other sciences, while also facilitating breakthrough technological developments that make our daily lives better, healthier, and safer.

Today, we want to highlight our content in Nanotechnology, with some new journal additions and exciting and innovative scholarly content coming in the next weeks.

Interdisciplinary content from a range of publishers

Our current collections cover research in the field of nanotechnology from major publishers, bringing the most recent updates from the field of nanoscience from an interdisciplinary standpoint.

The De Gruyter Materials Nanotechnology Collection, which contains thousands of books, book chapters, and article records on Nanotechnology, is one of the most comprehensive collections covering this topic on ScienceOpen.

The rapidly expanding field of materials sciences is a rapidly growing subject area in the De Gruyter portfolio, distinguished by new topics and authors. The focus on cross-sectional technologies and their application in commerce and the business sector, as well as content provided by outstanding, internationally renowned scientists, demonstrate the science’s contemporary nature. Nanoscience and nanotechnology have received special attention.

Highlighted Titles:

This collection includes cutting-edge books and journal publications in materials science, as well as the most recent updates from conferences or important meetings in this field of research.

Dove Medical Press is another publisher that includes some of the most recent research in the field of nanotechnology application in diagnostics, therapeutics, and drug delivery systems in our discovery network through the collection of the International Journal of Nanomedicine.

This collection aims to highlight research and development that leads to potential clinical applications in disease prevention and treatment. The International Journal of Nanomedicine (IJN) is an open-access journal that publishes papers on original research, clinical applications, expert opinion, reviews, and evaluations on all aspects of nanotechnology applications in the biomedical field.

ScienceOpen offers tailored publishing solutions for different publishers and publishing houses, university presses, and research institutions.

A platform for academic exchange in nanoscience and nanoengineering

The Journal of Modern Nanotechnology, published by the Innovation Forever Publishing Group, is one of the latest additions of journals indexed on ScienceOpen, providing quality open access content that covers the latest advancing developments in nanotechnology.

JMN aims to provide an online academic exchange platform for researchers and readers working in nanoscience or nanoengineering. JMN’s content is now integrated into our ever-growing database, which currently contains more than 76 million records.

JMN’s publications are aimed at advancing the development of nanotechnology by featuring innovative research in different fields of study like quantum phenomena and technology, material science, biology and medicine, electronics and photonics, energy at the nanoscale, patterning, and nanofabrication, etc.

New perspective on Nanoscience from Africa with NanoHorizons

The new journal Nano-Horizons is intended to be the voice of the African nano research community in this rapidly growing multidisciplinary field. With its publications, Nano-Horizons will be at the intersection of physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, materials science, computation, and modeling, providing a multidisciplinary and innovative approach to nanoscience research.

Editor-in-Chief Professor Malik Maaza is the UNESCO-UNISA AFRICA Chair in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, a trilateral partnership between UNESCO, the University of South Africa (UNISA), and the National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF).

Nano-Horizons will present African research perspectives and developments in nanotechnology.

The journal is now accepting manuscript submissions for the first issue. Join this research platform by simply clicking the “Submit a manuscript button” on their ScienceOpen collection page!

Methods by Akadémiai Kiadó

The Methods by AKJournals collection includes three interdisciplinary Open Access journals: Resolution and Discovery, Nanopages, and Acta Chromatographica.

Nanopages is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to disseminating the most recent results of nanotechnology research. The featured article types include both experimental and theoretical contributions. Works that promote the transfer of new scientific findings to application-oriented development are especially welcome. Such research into revealing structure-property relationships and developing novel materials and methods will aid in the goal of translating novel discoveries into practical applications.

Researcher Collections in Nanotechnology

ScienceOpen Collections are a community space for scholarly information curation, distribution, and evaluation. They are thematic collections of preprints and peer-reviewed research papers from various publishers and journals.

Our collections promote not only academic research from research institutions and publishing houses, but also allow ScienceOpen users with editor status to contribute to the dissemination and exchange of scholarly information by creating a curating their own Researcher Collection.

The EU NanoSafety Cluster Publications is a Researcher Collection with high profile publications aiding the coordination of nanosafety research in Europe

If you are a researcher in the field of nanotechnology, and interested to curate your own Researcher Collection, get in touch with us to learn more about how you can get an editor status.

Another excellent source of Nanotechnology research is the Paul Drude Institute for Solid State Electronics (PDI) collection, which covers the institute’s research in material science and solid-state physics.

The Paul-Drude-Institut für Festkörperelektronik (PDI) is a German research institute based in Berlin that conducts device-inspiring research as a vibrant symbiosis between materials science and solid-state physics, with a focus on low-dimensional structures in semiconductors. Their ScienceOpen collections includes articles, scientific reports, research letters from different publishers and researchers tied to the institute, and it’s a collection that shall not be missed.
