In 2023, ScienceOpen expanded its publishing network through significant partnerships that showcased world-class scholarly works and research that accelerates advancements, sustainability, and growth.
Our innovative infrastructure has upgraded and promoted important scholarship, accelerating progress towards the SDGs, and on today’s Year in Review campaign, we want to highlight our collaboration with EDP Sciences, which grew bigger and stronger in the past year.

The Environment and Society Collection is a collaborative collection created by the Rachel Carson Center in Germany and the White Horse Press in the United Kingdom and it highlights on our network of 90+ million publications the research results of an international project that is aiming to rethink the interactions of environments and societies from a multidisciplinary and global perspective.
All publications by Karger Publishers on ScienceOpen, which amount to nearly 150.000 articles, are contextualized on ScienceOpen in terms of disciplines, related citations, keywords, and authors.
The Karger Publishers collections bring together researchers and academics from around the world, enhancing collaboration and the exchange of ideas across various disciplines. ScienceOpen and Karger Publishers hope to contribute to real change in society and to further dissemination of the advancements made under each topical collection, which covers important disciplines within the medical sciences.
In 2023, the JDR collection on ScienceOpen kept growing by regularly adding new quality content that features both empirical work and theoretical framing, all embedded in the multidisciplinary discovery network of ScienceOpen. ScienceOpen is happy to support JDR with discovery and promotion solutions, as well as management of their peer review system.
