Introducing Clinical Virtual Research Center Journal of Ophthalmology

Introducing Clinical Virtual Research Center Journal of Ophthalmology

At ScienceOpen, we recognize the importance of effective knowledge exchange between researchers and clinicians in translating research breakthroughs into real-world applications.

We would like to introduce a new open access journal published through our platform that aims to connect researchers and clinicians in the field of ophthalmology, as well as provide a platform for open and transparent research in vision science: the Clinical Virtual Research Center Journal of Ophthalmology.

New journal in ophthalmology and vision science

The Clinical Virtual Research Center Journal of Ophthalmology seeks to publish the most recent findings in all areas of ophthalmology, optometry, and visual sciences. The journal’s objectives are to enhance the timely communication of research findings and serve as a guide for scholars and eye care specialists seeking the most recent developments in those domains. The CVRC Journal of Ophthalmology accepts original research articles covering all fields of ophthalmology, optometry, and visual sciences, as well as reviews, mini-reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor.

All research published by the Journal will be in full open access under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Likewise, peer reviewers for the journal have the option of posting their reviews publicly on ScienceOpen after an article has been published. All public reviews will receive a Crossref peer-review DOI (read more about open peer review on ScienceOpen).

Vision Science collection by Mashael Al-Namaeh

The new journal was established by Dr Mashael Al-Namaeh, OD, PhD, Associate Professor at Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, Kentucky and the clinical director of research at the Clinical Virtual Research Center in Wilmington, Delaware with the goal of establishing a community on the ScienceOpen platform for researchers and clinicians in ophthalmology, optometry, and visual sciences.

Researchers interested in submitting their work to the Clinical Virtual Research Center Journal of Ophthalmology are invited to browse the Vision Science collection by Mashael Al-Namaeh on ScienceOpen:
