One of the most exciting additions to our network in recent months has been the Association of University Presses’ (AEUP) collection, which includes book and book chapter titles from universities across Europe including a multilingual support that ScienceOpen implemented to answer and to quickly adapt to publishers’ needs.
Wachholtz’s interdisciplinary book scholarship will now be promoted in the context of our network in the form of a featured collection, where users and scholars can access high-quality book titles, while also being able to include our extensive multidimensional discovery tools in their research process.

With 46 members in 18 countries, AEUP aims to increase the visibility of member presses and share knowledge and support about scholarly publishing. ScienceOpen will assist AEUP in their mission of knowledge distribution by providing cutting-edge publishing services and facilitating communication between members of the association and scholarly circles in Europe and beyond.
The mission of the King Salman Center for Disability Research is to foster a global platform for addressing disability through research and empowerment. Its content will now be published alongside 83 million publications on ScienceOpen, allowing people to access cutting-edge research in just a few clicks.
Happy New Year! I would like to take this moment to personally wish you a successful 2023 and thank you for your support of ScienceOpen over the past year. Each December tends to end in a rush, so I always appreciate the opportunity in the first days of the new year to reflect on what we have accomplished and look forward to the exciting projects ahead.
Since 2020, ScienceOpen and African Minds have been collaborating in the promotion and dissemination of African Minds’ scholarship, and we are pleased to have developed a user-friendly interface that generates streamlined, machine-readable metadata and quickly integrates rich book records onto ScienceOpen. During 2022, the number of books on the collection of African Minds doubled, generating over 19.000 item requests from users in 120 countries around the world.
