Today DOAJ turns 20 years old, and we want to celebrate this anniversary and years of collaboration with open-access publishers and journals that value the power of diversity in scholarly communications!
Thanks to this new collaboration with Thoth, publishers will now be able to create a record on BookMetaHub, send it to Thoth for further enhancement, and then gain access to additional output formats for future export. We are also working on sending data created on Thoth to the BookMetahub, so stay tuned!
This year ScienceOpen was invited to the SSP to present their latest project, the BookMetaHub, a recently launched platform freely accessible for publishers to import and maintain or create rich metadata sets for their scientific book publications both on a book- and chapter-level to be used for further distribution.
With this new integration, ScienceOpen helps publishers and funders alike to track the visibility of their outputs on the internet. By adding integration with the Funder Registry for all BookMetaHub users, we can simplify and speed up the process of metadata distribution for publishers and improve discoverability for funders.
BookMetaHub will not only help to build a more open and inclusive publishing ecosystem, but it will also help publishers simplify content management by providing a freely accessible, cutting-edge hub designed for an easier exchange and update of interoperable book and chapter metadata for academic book titles.
