Emirates Scholar Research Center super collection keeps expanding with important journals and publications covering disciplines from digital arts and media to engineering and medical sciences. A new journal has recently been published by Emirates Scholar on ScienceOpen, enhancing the impact and availability of important scholarship addressing some of the most recent scientific developments in the UAE and the Gulf Region.
We are pleased to support AJET as part of one of our infrastructure’s successful implementations, which includes a manuscript submission and peer review management system, production tracking, editorial operation support, open-access hosting, metadata services, and promotional campaigns.
We have collaborated with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) to create a featured collection comprising a wide array of aerospace related research from four different AIAA journals. AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. As the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession, the addition of material from AIAA greatly enriches the contents and contextof ScienceOpen’sdiscovery platform.
Explore new tools for next-generation, open peer review. ScienceOpen and UCL Press offer an interactive, hands-on, online workshop to demo the open peer review tools behind UCL’s interdisciplinary publishing platform UCL Open: Environment for researchers and editors.
Peer review is a key element of scholarly publishing, but for the past decade the research community has struggled to move beyond the black box and develop new open models of research evaluation. University College London and UCL Press would like to change that. Since the beginning, ScienceOpen has been committed to open peer review – now offering post-publication review options for over 62 million articles and preprints. So, with the vision of a university-led publishing platform based on open review principles, UCL Press teamed up with ScienceOpen to create the journal “UCL Open: Environment”.
The new ScienceOpen Collections by the IET features recent scientific advances and increase their accessibility for the global audience with the overarching aim of informing next generations of engineers in the dynamically changing fields of artificial intelligence and of transport.
ScienceOpen has been promoting Open Science from the beginning. For years we helped advancing this goal by supporting researchers and publishers to make science more visible, accessible, and reproducible. With this we aim to meet the global call(s) for openness and offer solutions that can benefit all.
The technical backbone
The ScienceOpen platform provides a unique advanced indexing, hosting, and publishing environment that is freely accessible and embedded within an interactive discovery and communication infrastructure of more than 60 million publication records—including journal articles, conference papers, open peer reviews, preprints—and offers free poster and preprint publication (incl. versioning) for researchers.
Last year, we launched within our framework the UCL Open publishing platform for the UCL Open: Environment multi-disciplinary journal. In close collaboration with our partner UCL Press, an alternative space for new modes of scientific content community curation was created.
The platform received a new infrastructural branch to include books and book chapters, an essential advancement that offers an additional channel for our researchers, customers, and users to promote and discover relevant content and to expand their portfolio or profile.

The discovery platform ScienceOpen is partnering with Tsinghua University Press (TUP) to contextualize and promote Chinese research within an interactive research environment. This partnership integrates six TUP journals as featured collections in the ScienceOpen Super Collection ‘Tsinghua University Press’.
