ScienceOpen is pleased to announce a new milestone in the collaboration with Hogrefe, which will promote important research and encourage open scholarly communication in topics related to sustainability. As members of the SDG Publishers Compact, ScienceOpen and Hogrefe are combining efforts to promote research that helps in the acceleration of the SDGs through new collections of SDGs-related research published by Hogrefe.
We are excited to announce that Hogrefe, the leading scientific publisher for psychology, psychiatry, and mental health in Europe, has worked with us to add book records to their collections on ScienceOpen. By combining books and journal article records in collections, ScienceOpen works as a platform to “un-silo” publishers’ content. Hogrefe has previously created ten collections on ScienceOpen to feature their journals’ content. These collections include eight thematic collections on topics such as medicine, nursing, and psychology, aCovid-19 collection, and auniversal Collection comprising over 17,000 publications. Bringing together book and journal content around similar topics embedded in ScienceOpen’s interactive search platform gives a new way for readers to interact with and discover research that’s relevant for them!
Following the launch of ‘Hogrefe Psychology’last week and thanks to ScienceOpen’s extended collaboration with the Hogrefe Publishing Group, today we are pleased to bring ‘Hogrefe Medicine’ to your attention – a Hogrefe featured collection bringing together the latest research in medicine. This collection is a diverse portfolio of highly regarded, mostly peer-reviewed, journals in German and English language in the fields of medicine. These journals are aimed at academics and clinicians in research centers, hospitals, and medical practices across the globe. Hogrefe highlights ‘Vasa – European Journal of Vascular Medicine’—the official organ of the German, Swiss, and Slovenian Societies of Angiology, and the European Society for Vascular Medicine—within the context of over 5,000 research articles in ‘Hogrefe Medicine’.
Mental health matters! As part of our extended collaboration with the Hogrefe Publishing Group, ScienceOpen now indexes 30 English and German language academic journals covering many areas of psychology and mental health. The content of these highly-regarded peer-reviewed journals is integrated in the form of the featured collection ‘Hogrefe Psychology’ into the ScienceOpen research discovery environment.
